Free Electricity
For anyone who has ever had to pay an outrageous energy bill, the promise of free electricity sounds too good to be true. Power companies are well known for engaging in every form of gauging they can think of, and for fighting for rate hikes every time they have any political leverage. And that’s not to say anything of fuel companies, whose corruption and greed is near-legendary. The idea that any of us could circumvent these monopolistic companies and produce our own free energy is one that makes many people’s ears perk up.

Defining Free Electricity
Now, free electricity is something of a misnomer, as there is always an investment cost in the systems that you will purchase or personally construct. When someone is talking about free energy, they are talking about the cost of the actual electricity that gets produced by their system- they are not talking about the system itself. Yet, as the years go by and as free energy systems become more efficient and increasingly economically feasible, it’s safe to assume that any energy system you purchase or construct will pay for itself many times over for as long as you have it.
Just think about it- if free electricity sources keep getting cheaper and if fuel and energy companies keep raising their rates, than logic dictates that free energy sources will become considerably more economically viable than traditional energy sources- if they aren’t already.
Free Electricity Can Power Anything
There is no difference between the electricity that is produced by traditional sources like coal, and the electricity produced by free energy sources. Solar panels, wind turbines and other generators of free energy all either plug directly into your home’s energy grid, or they are used to charge large batteries.
If you think about it, there are no tools these days that can’t be run by electricity. Even heat and cars, the two old holdouts of traditional fuel sources, are increasingly powered by electricity these days.
Generating Free Electricity
There are three main sources of free energy available to the average person these days- hydro power, wind power and solar power. Hydropower is the most environmentally dependent (as you need to live near a body of moving water) but wind power and solar power can be produced anywhere.
Solar power specifically has emerged as the most popular and feasible form of free electricity for most people. Solar energy is available everywhere the sun shines- which is to say, everywhere. These panels will charge and create energy even when the sun isn’t shining brightly, which makes them truly universal. You can place solar panels on the roof of your car, you can place them on the roof of your home, there are even portable solar panels available for backpackers or anyone else who desires free energy anywhere they go.
The great thing about solar panels when it comes to free electricity is this- the more popular they become, the less expensive and more effective they become. This increases their popularity further, and the cycle continues until solar power becomes truly universally accessible.
