installation

Finding the right location plays the biggest roll when determining solar panel installation. When determining where your solar panels are going to be installed, one must first determine what part of the building receives the most direct sunlight during the day. The more direct sunlight a solar panel receives, the more energy it can convert and the more efficient the panel can perform. Standard installations are conducted primarily on the rooftops of the building where the solar panel installation is taking place. The company that is doing the installation will more than likely send a surveyor to determine what part of the building will receive the most direct sunlight to maximize the solar panels efficiency. Areas on the rooftop that are shaded by trees tend to be avoided, due to the blocking of direct sunlight. However, placing solar panels on a roof that is shaded by trees does make the them not work, it just makes the solar panels work less efficient than if they were placed in direct contact with sunlight.

The two most common types of solar panel installations are tilt-mounted and flush-mounted. Tilt-mounted solar panel positioning is done in an upright and tilted fashion, which enables the solar panel to absorb the most sunlight. This type of installation might be obtrusive, because the solar panels can be highly visible to the naked eye. Where and when the Sun rises plays a huge factor in how you utilize the tilt-mount solar installation procedure. Rule of thumb, where ever the most direct sunlight will be, is where you want to tilt mount your solar panels. This does not necessarily mean the solar panels need to be installed on a roof. Often times solar panels can be installed on ground. The second type of installation is called “flush mounted”, which means laid flat with the mounting hardware does not overly extend beyond the surface in which it is laid on. This is most common for solar panel installations on the rooftops of residential homes. If one is building a new home and wishes to install solar panels, then it is always a good idea to discuss the installation with the roofer, because it can limit the possibilities of leaks and other mishappenings.

How does it look? Does style matter? Solar companies are becoming more aware and in tune to consumers needs to better make solar panel installation mesh well with ones property. There are several ways solar panels can be laid out to maximize their efficiency for the property owner. If one is building a new property, it is always a good idea to collaborate with the general contractor prior to installation. The reason being is to make certain the solar panel installers are securing panels into the property’s frame correctly. In doing this, it will make the solar panels more secure and less likely to be displaced.
